We invite you to join the Tomazou Group at St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research Institute (St. Anna CCRI) in Vienna. Our internationally connected and interdisciplinary research group integrates fundamental biology, stem cell engineering, and computational approaches to uncover unexplored biological mechanisms, with a strong focus on pediatric cancers.
Our work bridges basic discovery and translational applications, aiming to advance biological understanding while enabling future therapeutic strategies.

Conduct independent postdoctoral research aligned with the group’s scientific focus
Conceptualize, design, and carry out ambitious research projects
Provide creative and critical input to the development and refinement of research questions
Prepare manuscripts, present findings at international conferences, and apply for competitive fellowships
Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
Actively contribute to a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment
What you bring for this position:
PhD in molecular biology, cellular biology, cancer biology, computational biology or a related life science discipline
At least one first author publication
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Molecular and cellular biology
Stem cell engineering
Translational research
Computational biology
Strong motivation to work in an interdisciplinary and international research environment
High level of scientific curiosity, persistence and commitment
Ability to independently drive complex research projects forward
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German not required)
