Your main tasks and responsibilites

 

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of scientists and lab technicians
  • Drive, develop and oversee multiple tasks within the scientific life-cycle management of blood plasma products in the field of immunology
  • Lead and scientifically guide process optimizations, process transfers, in-depth and root cause analyses of deviations, change requests, submissions and inquiries from authorities
  • Manage, coordinate and continuously improve lab operations and organizational activities
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and scientific excellence
  • Prepare, review and present reports, project updates, and scientific insights to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing Science & Technology, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Business Units and other R&D areas
  • Contribute to department budget, strategy, structure and resources planning

 

Your expertise and ideal skill set

 

  • Completed degree (PhD preferred) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, (Bio-) Chemistry, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with focus on process development, product life-cycle management or GMP operations at industrial scale
  • Proven leadership skills and strong enthusiasm for leading a team of scientists and technicians at different maturity levels
  • Expertise in downstream processing, protein characterization, and/or product and process improvement, ideally within a plasma-derived product portfolio
  • Solid understanding of GxP principles, laboratory methodologies, and regulatory processes
  • Proficient in German and English (oral + written), MS Office 365, generative AI and statistical/data analyses
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and result-driven mindset, as well as problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) is EUR 4,686.11 based on 38 hours per week (full-time). As we strive to offer a salary that reflects your individual profile and qualifications, there is a willingness to pay above the minimum salary.
