As a member of the Global Program Management Lead Team, in this role, you lead the Digital

Agility Center.  As the Global Head of the Digital Agility Center, you are responsible for several

critical areas that are core to the effective performance of Global Research and Development.

Main Contributions

  • Mentor, coach, and support a team of Scrum Masters and Release Train Engineers

  • Key driver of the Roche Agile Ways of Working

  • May lead or manage large, complex projects or activities

  • Coach the organization at all levels on Agile Ways of Working

Main responsibilities

  • Provide mentoring for the Digital Agility Center, including communication, technical, and interpersonal skills critical to successfully be servant leaders within the Agile Ways of Working. 

  • Develop and grow people and attract / retain key talent to enable a fit-for-future Organization

  • Establish strategic goals and objectives in line with supporting the vision and mission of Global R&D and Roche Diabetes.

  • Manage Digital Agility Center office to maximize work that can be accomplished, in conjunction with business priorities

  • Work closely with development teams, the lean agile center of excellence, and communities of practice, to continuously shape and improve the ways of working.  

  • Partner closely with SCS, R&D, Quality, Operations, OneMedical, and other Diabetes Care functions to continuously shape the product development ways of working.

  • Lead or manage large, complex projects or activities 

  • Continuously assess the implications of ways of working, identify additional organizational, operational, and process changes needed to optimize, and work with the organization to manage communication and drive change. 

  • Establish a reputation of being a reliable partner organization who meets their commitments and delivers value while focusing on people

  • Partner with the organization to proactively identify decision criteria, clear hurdles, and conduct health checks to ensure ways of working reflect agile practices

  • Lead in a manner that is consistent with the Roche Values and leadership capabilities within the Creative Leadership and the VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) framework and more broadly if required, ensure individuals and teams are developing and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the Organization

  • Create an environment of strong team spirit and one which promotes diversity, equity and inclusion, timely & effective communications, a sense of purpose and urgency, high motivation and inspires the team to achieve goals in the immediate and longer term

  • Provide mentoring for colleagues, including communication, technical, and interpersonal skills critical to successfully deliver reliably and efficiently

  • Lead and manage all aspects of people processes - organization, staffing,  talent management, development and performance management to meet strategic and operational objectives


  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of product development experience with an additional 3+ years of Agile experience 

  • Strong system and analytical thinking skills with ability to synthesize information quickly

  • Expert in SAFe and agile methodologies in difficult multi-difficult multidisciplinary context

  • Strong planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands

  • Effective and proven organizational change management experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Deep and proven strength in negotiation skills, time management, delegation, and decision- making

  • Extensive technical, business acumen, and customer acumen with strategic, conceptual and holistic thinking

  • A self-starter with ability to work independently and deal with ambiguity

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to effectively and successfully manage stakeholders

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with capability to guide, coach, motivate, influence and empower others across different hierarchical levels within international project set-up

  • A transformational leader with conviction, who is able to help others adopt and implement new strategies within a large, complex, matrixed organization. 

  • Strong reputation for integrity and ethics.

  • Business level fluency in English
