Research Specialist (f/m/d) Transgene Biology
to join the Gene Therapy Biology team, to analyze transgene expression with molecular and biochemical assays in the context of gene therapy projects and platform development.
Your key responsibilities:
-
Plan, develop, optimize and perform molecular, biochemical and cellular assays within different projects for customer and in-house gene therapy programs
-
Consistently provide high quality data within specified time frame and efficiently work and communicate in a collaborative team environment
-
Analyze, troubleshoot and interpret data including data analysis software
-
Review, interpret and communicate data cross-functionally within internal project teams as well as with external collaborators and customers
-
Build and maintain relationships with customers and Evotec internal teams
Your ideal qualifications:
-
MS or BS degree in biology, genetics, molecular biology or related field of science, with several additional years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry
-
Knowledge in gene therapy and standard gene therapy methodology would be a plus
-
Strong knowledge, understanding, and hands-on experience in key technologies in molecular, biochemical and cell based assays such as RT qPCR; enzymatic assays, reporter assays, transient transfections and sample processing for functional analysis of proteins and cellular compounds

Experienced in working with data analysis software, such as MS Excel and GraphPad Prism (or similar)

Experience in immune-histochemical techniques and in situ hybridization would be a plus

You have excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills

You understand project timelines and deliverables, and coordinate project work accordingly with the supervisor and other functional stakeholders

You perform work with high attention to detail and quality, paired with the competence for trouble shooting, and the ability to deliver on time

You are a team player, collaborative, initiative, detail oriented, accurate, reliable and determined

The position requires proficiency in the German language and a good level in English
