Curetis, a young, publicly traded molecular diagnostics company specializes in the development and marketing of reliable, fast and cost-effective solutions for the diagnosis of serious infections. Our Unyvero product line allows for the detection of pathological microorganisms and their antibiotic resistances in a variety of different patient samples within a few hours — a process that takes days or even weeks with other procedures. Since 2012, we have marketed this cartridge-based molecular diagnostics program with a constantly growing portfolio of applications for the syndromic testing of hospitalized patients with severe microbial infections.
After the acquisition of the Genetic Antibiotic Resistance and Susceptibility Database (GEAR) in September 2016 we are building a dedicated team to further develop and leverage this unique bioinformatics platform and database in our product development programs as well as academic and commercial partnerships. Senior Life Science Project Manager
for a staff function role in unlimited full-time employment at a new and dedicated facility in Vienna. The position reports to the Director GEAR & BioIT.
What we expect from you...
In your role as Senior Project Manager, you will manage multidisciplinary international life science projects in the area of antibiotics research with multiple internal and external contributors and stakeholders including clinicians, infectiologists, microbiologists, bioinformaticians, pharma and diagnostics experts, and software developers.
You will acquire and manage grants for publicly funded projects and support business development in the acquisition of commercial projects with partners in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry.
Once acquired, you will be responsible for all aspects of project management initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closing.
You will organize and host regular collaborator meetings and represent Curetis and GEAR at such meetings.
You will represent the Curetis and GEAR at medical and scientific conferences with presentations and contributions to panels and discussions.
What you bring with you…
An academic education in life sciences, IT, or medicine with a PhD or a comparable qualification
Experience in the planning and execution of multidisciplinary innovation projects in life science with multiple internal and external contributors and stakeholders
A track-record in acquiring public grants
Experience in working with academic as well as industry partners
The ability to work in effectively in highly virtual set-ups across different geographies and cultures
A self-starter mentality with an independent and reliable way of working
An open and communicative mentality
The conscious decision to work as a team player in an innovative and dynamic smaller company
Business-fluent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of German is an advantage, but not a requirement
Professional knowledge of current office software applications (MS Office) and project management software (e.g. MS-Project)
Considerable willingness to travel for up to 50% of the job
